Flor Patisserie Singapore

Duxton Hill is in the Tanjong Pagar district of Singapore, it is a lovely area to walk through with many of the maintained and restored terrace homes creating a charmful part of Singapore. Duxton Hill is refreshing compared to the likes of Marina Bay Sands, we definitely felt like we were in Singapore at Duxton Hill. Many office workers flock to the area during lunch time as the business district is nearby, this is the best ...

Birthday Celebrations with a Patisserie Cake

Happy Birthday to me! This year I thought I would be organised and order a cake from the Swiss Patisserie in Subiaco, Chez Jean Claude. The family were meeting at our place followed by dinner in Chinatown, Northbridge. The very tiny patisserie has a fairly large website of many choices of desserts, breads and pastries. Through the website you can also specify when to pick up your purchase, I think at ...

Dolcetto Patisserie, North Perth

Saturday is the day of no lunch and instead its coffee and treats. I realised that i knew where to find Italian cakes south of the river but not nearby to where i live now, North of the River! Choux Cafe, once again

Just like Nonna's!   My choice of treats was the avocado and pineapple macaroon and the apricot saffron macaron.Good God! The flavors are strong and complimenting. Coffee was a ...

Macarons and Coffee

A combination worthy of my consumption. Today's choice of coffee break was in the city at Jean Pierre Sancho on Hay Street. The good thing about this place is that it does not close early in the afternoon so it is possible to grab a coffee after 3.00pm! The macaron flavors we selected were passionfruit, Moet Champagne and hazelnut. The macarons were okay, they were fairly chewy and it was difficult to taste the flavors. ...

Choux Café, Swanborne

Sometimes the best place for a traditional dessert is away from the city and today it was on a residential street in Swanbourne in the middle of two small stores; a patisserie named Choux Cafe. Choux Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch serving an array of exquisite French cakes, savoury pastries and breads including coffee and tea. All the foods are handmade every day at the Cafe and I definitely ...

Staying in Chamonix, 6 steps away from a Patisserie

We were holidaying in the French Alp town of Chamonix and our apartment was located on the main strip of Rue Du Docteur Paccard above retail store, it was the perfect spot as across from us was a little patisserie called Richard. I could count 6 steps from our apartment to the shopfront window, I do not think I have ever lived so close to a patisserie before. I wanted to ...
