Cycle from Claremont and Coffee at Hylin

Who would have thought cycling along the railway tracks could be a little scenic and peaceful? For part of our cycle this morning we were cocooned by bush and old trees (between Claremont and Subiaco). We started our journey from Claremont train station and apart from a few disconnected sections at the beginning from Claremont, we cycled on the west side of the train tracks along a dedicated cycle path. We crossed into Subiaco along Roberts Road, passing Rokeby Road intersection through the lovely Market Square parkland which eventually joins a bicycle path parallel to the train line again. The cycle path continues on the Subiaco side right into Perth city. We crossed the train tracks to the Leederville side, cycling on the road to Hylin Cafe for a cup of coffee and breakfast.

Overall a great short distance ride around the western suburbs. Stop in Subiaco or Leederville for breakfast. Every Saturday morning along Bagot Road, Subiaco Farmer’s Markets are in full swing.
