There are some great places along William Street in Northbridge and I would definitely say the area offers more than clubs and bars these days! Finally! Backpacker travel agents, vintage fashion stores, tiny coffee places, casual eating places, hidden bars all create a Northbridge worth seeing!
SuperstarWaffles is a new dessert shop to hit the scene and it is tucked away in the dimly lit Arcade 189.
Attention to detail is all over this cafe from the random messages on the chalkboard to the way the waffles are delicately prepared with nothing but sweet love. It was great to dine in at a place where so much effort is made in ensuring the customer is happy and satisfied.
$10.00 was enough to buy a waffle and so we decided to share the Warm Apple Pie which is served with stewed apples, muesli, cream, vanilla ice cream and maple syrup. The waffle itself was light and spongy. I am a lover of waffles since travelling to Paris and this one was incredibly delicious.
The cappuccino was pretty good, the beans nice and strong.
Note: It is cash only however there is an ANZ ATM just outside the arcade on William Street.
The menu certainly will entice me to visit Superstar Waffles again as I left with unfinished business – there is the peanut butter mousse waffle and the banoffee waffle I have to try next time.
Parking can be a pain, there are bays available on the street and around however it is paid parking. It would be great if the City of Perth could offer free parking for 1 hour!
The cafe is open from 12 pm on the weekends until late.
Superstar Waffles have a Facebook page with loads of info, be sure to check it out.
